Aldertrack has moved.

The old version had this on its 50th Ward page:

Greg Brewer, co-founder of Citizens for Responsible Development, http://www.citizensforbrewer.org/home/index.html

Funds ~ June 2006 (“Citizens for Brewer”): $17,450

Salman Aftab, http://www.salmanforalderman.com/

Funds ~ Oct. 2006 (“Salman Aftab Campaign Fund”): N/A – Filed on paper” 10-10-06

Naisy Dolar, http://naisydolar.campaignoffice.com/

The new page is better, but without this information.

JS, I appreciate you taking off "CUTE" in referencing Naisy Dolar under the links of your page. However, if you click on the link, the address has not been changed and people who want to know more about the 50th ward candidate won't be able to access her site. Obviously, you knew that her website is www.naisydolar.campaignoffice.com (www.naisydolar.com also works) because it is listed in this most recent blog.

By the way, where do you get the numbers for the funds? The numbers for Brewer and Dolar seem to be too little at this point in the race.

The numbers are from the filing in June. Only 2 filings a year in Illinois.

I don't know what your problem is. I'm allowed to think that Naisy is cute. Many people consider having an attractive candidate an advantage. My sister likes it when she is called cute, and she's older. Naisy's problem is not that she's cute, but that she's young and relatively inexperienced.

I have heard Naisy speak three times now. She has no policy experience, no supervisory experience worth mentioning. I asked her what was her major accomplishment working for the Mayor and she said some award. So she was a PR flak. That's great. I just don't think we need another "quotable" alderman from the 50th. We need someone who can bring us together, treat us with respect and get things done. Naisy might be that person someday, but she's not that person now. Right now, she's very cute.

As for money, those figures are from a post several months ago, that's why they say June 2006. As my dad says, Naisy's not a credible candidate, she hasn't raised the money to take on the alderman. Stone has been ignoring her altogether.

Brewer's campaign, of which you are no doubt a part, is trying very hard to paint this as a race between Stone and Brewer, but as a member of Naisy's campaign, I can assure you that Stone has not been ignoring her.

I haven't seen Stone call Naisy out on TV. But Stone did that with Brewer.

As a staff member on Greg Brewer's campaign, I can assure you that this blog is not owned or maintained by anyone on Greg Brewer's campaign.

We are not aware of any of Greg's supporters owning or maintaining this blog. While we appreciate JS in the 50th's confidence in Greg, we support and commend Naisy Dolar and her supporters' desire to seek real change in the community. Together we can make a significant difference!

I don't think my dad would let me help Greg Brewer.

js, are you old enough to vote?

I appreciate Bridget's positive, professional, and credible post, a real contrast to those posted on the Brewer blog by Brewer's "campaign team."

And, c'mon guys, JS is pulling your leg about his daddy's permission. He ain't no youngster. His views on women are from the Stone age.

I agree. Thank you Bridget for your professional perspective on the matter. You seem like a good person to represent Greg Brewer.
