Dolar Beats Stone!

The headline that many were waiting for:

Naisy Dolar: 4628 50th Ward
Berny Stone: 4549 50th Ward

Votes for delegate to the Democratic National Convention.

This would be interesting if the choice had been between Bernie and Naisy, but of course, it wasn't. They were just surrogates for Clinton and Obama--Bernie as a delegate, Naisy as an alternate.

Still, Naisy supporters should take whatever satisfaction they can from this little "victory". I doubt we'll have another opportunity to see Naisy and Bernie on the same ballot. Hopefully, one, if not both, of them will realize that he/she has no future in 50th Ward politics.

Crack political consultant Salieri Moses advised Stone to fund his run for committeeman by fattening his campaign war chest with cash from Chicago's realtors for serving them as the leading City Council spokesperson railing against the real estate transfer tax increase to bail out the CTA, because Moses knew it would be political suicide to cross Daley, end any hope of a Stone dynasty, and create an opportunity for himself.
