Dolar: Alderman Race Her Second Choice

Watching Naisy Dolar is fun! You never know what you're going to discover on Naisy's Continuing Adventure. A blog search looking for another blog led me to this:

Challenge for Madigan

Chicago resident Naisy Dolar has formed a PAC to seek the Democratic nomination for Attorney General. Filing for the March Primary closed weeks ago; she's either running as a write-in or she's planning ahead for 2010.

Taking on Lisa Madigan is surely a gutsy move. Running for Attorney General even braver, as Naisy is not a lawyer. But it seems clear that Naisy has an inflated ego and vast ambition. The 50th Ward is just a stepping stone to bigger and better things. It gives this picture of Naisy from her website new meaning:

Can we expect a daily hit on Naisy from you and the Brewer campaign between now and election day? It seems like you are spending all of your time going after her rather than Stone.

And as for the Brewer campaign saying they are running against Stone, not Naisy, see Bridget's comment on another blog. It seems like it has always been part of the Brewer strategy to attack Naisy (but then act like they are above it) and there is no way AC can deny that when his lead blogger er uh I mean "field director" is on the record as going after Naisy.

As for whole attorney general thing it appears some paperwork was filed the wrong way, I doubt Naisy ever had any designs on running for attorney general. But go ahead JS do what you can to go after Naisy.

Naisy sure makes a lot of mistakes. That seems to be her answer for everything.

It is insulting the way Dolar has out-of-towners here to help her.Maybe we should all go to San Jose to help HONDA'S NEXT OPPONENT

Don't for one minute think HONDA came for Dolar without Jan Jchakowsy's approval.-Congressmen do not get involved in another Congressperson's District without that approval.Jan's "neutrality" is a sham.

>And as for the Brewer campaign

I checked out Bridget's comment and it's not at all an attack on Naisy. It's a defense of Brewer in response to a question from someone who had been misinformed by Naisy's campaign. I can't see how telling the truth can be called an attack.

I doubt that Naisy has Schakowsky's support, tacit or otherwise, after threatening Jan with mobilizing Asian-Americans against her "if she didn't endorse her."

hahahahaha!

This is hilarious! Is Naisy singing? cheerleading? Or just being her regular megalomaniac self?

Naisy definitely fits the description of a cult leader. Her cult members... oops I mean volunteers... definitely look drugged. I feel sorry for them.

Some Brewer and Dolar backer's don't seem to know of their radical affiliations. This became apparent to me at the Boone school meeting last night, when I saw some relatively moderate bungalow types, SMM parishoners, who I know to be pro-life and sometimes Republican voters who thought Brewer or Dolar were the only viable alternative to the machine.

They obviously are unaware of Brewer's ties to the Howard Dean hard core left and Dolar's ties to the radical-multiculturalist ICIRR.

I suspect that these people are motivated by their resentment over Bernie's Jewish voter cohort having run the show for so long and yearn for an alternative -- any alternative.

Seems Brewer and Dolar have pulled the wool over their eyes.

This underscores the need for a GOP or Reagan Democrat candidate to get into future such multi-candidate races. There are 300 hard Rs in the Ward and certainly another 500 or so Reagan Democrats.

Aftab probably won't draw 500 votes, so a moderate-conservative wouldn't come in last and possibly that bloc could have some leverage in a future runoff.

Certainly a better option that frittering away a well meaning moderate vote on any one of 3 look-alike extremist lefty candidates.

JS,

have you seen Dolar's initial D1 Statement of Organization filed 2/21/2006?

what does it say?

who signed it?

Someone is threatened and resentful of Dolar's candidacy. And Aftab's and Brewer's. Sure have gone to the debate the other night-it was worth attending. Instead some people are busy throwing mud at certain candidates.
Last time I looked it seemed like a nameless Jewish newsletter suggested that people better vote for their candidate or else the alderman's door wouldn't have a mezuzah on it. Fear mongering too?

"Howard Dean hard core left"

Now there's a statement that will get Democrats to take you seriously. News Flash: Howard Dean is Chairman of the national Democratic Party. So if he's the "hard core left" then so is the entire Party. You're welcome to peddle that point of view, but it's not likely to get you very far in Chicago.

P.S. I would challenge you to name one issue stand that would define Dean as "hard core left".

since when is TRUTH TELLING mud-slinging-only when someone tells the truth about Stone's opposition.ALSO,the reference to a Jewish Newsletter is a subtle attempt at BIGOTRY!

At February 10, 2007 9:09 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

or perhaps the newsletter was making a not-so-sublte attempt of BIGOTRY.

Alex Armour says that Jan is staying neutral. Hard to believe that Jerry Morrison would say otherwise.

Funny, I would have thought Naisy's support of Duckworth in the IL-6 primary would have won Jan over.

At February 12, 2007 3:03 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

naisy has claimed jan's support for a long time. but naisy has said a lot of things. i would think that, if she did, you'd see her name on naisy's endorsement list. i certainly would prominently feature jan's name if we had her endorsement. she's the most popular politician in the area.

alex has told me on several occasions that jan was staying neutral in this race. i am told that bernie called her and she promised that. i seriously doubt that either mike honda or tammy duckworth needed jan's permission to help out naisy...

JS,

I did something you did not bother to do.

I FOIA'ed Naisy's Statement of Organization filed 2/21/06. It clearly states "Alderman."

David Morrison, Assistant Director of the Illinois Campaign for Political Reform, didn't bother, either. His blog post you found in your web search was incorrect.

Post an e-mail address and I will send you a scan if you are interested.

Thanks for your contribution to the dialog in our neighborhood.
