Stone's Thugs Steal Dolar Signs

It's begun. Stone's thugs have turned their attention to Naisy Dolar, and now there are wide reports of her signs having been stolen across the ward.

This can't be a surprise. Stone's thugs did this to another candidate in February. There are eyewitness reports that say the person who stole the signs (in February) was the same person delivering Stone literature the previous day.

Ald. Stone thinks nothing of sending one of his thugs onto your property and stealing your property. Stone's cavalier attitude about sign-stealing (everyone does it, he says) exposes his real attitude about the people and private property in the 50th Ward. Stone thinks we belong to him! Private property? That's his, too. We are only serfs in his kingdom. We only have the rights he allows us to have.

Private property? We don't need no stinkin' private property in the Stone Age!

This is the same attitude that allows him to want his daughter to succeed him. Divine rights are inherited. Stone thinks of the 50th Ward as his to do with what he wants. He has no interest in bettering the 50th, only in concentrating power into his hands. In his mind, that makes it better. Not for us, but maybe for him.

Remember that Stone is only trying to intimidate us. These crimes demonstrate his sense of vulnerability, his desperation, his recognition that he may lose. The more he feels threatened, the more he will employ mob-like tactics. Berny Stone is not interested in a fair election, he's interested in a coronation.

Time for thugs like Stone to go.

Does the saying put your money where your mouth is mean anything?

The continous unsubstantiated charges on your blog. If someone has an eyewintess go to the police. I dont mean call a get a IR number and file a report that sits in storage but get action ifyou have a witness. Otherwise stop with the charges.

Or another words and I mean no disrespect but put up or shut up.

It's amusing how Stone and his sycophants always trot out this one. Two points: my understanding is that they did go to the police. So it's not a baseless report.

But let's not lose sight of the fact that Stone didn't go to the police! Ald. Stone throws around groundless charges all the time, but especially in this campaign. It might have been a good idea to count Stone's lies, but I doubt anyone can count that high.

Stone made hay out of the "defaced" campaign literature he received in the mail (from his own zip code in Peterson Park!). Did he go to the police? Of course not.

Stone and his supporters are hypocrites. If Stone is permitted to lie and throw around groundless charges, why should anyone else be prevented? Stone's thugs steal signs. Only the most naive among us don't believe that.

Are you that naive? Or do you simply lack a better response?

Jay,

An IR number is not a police report. Any one an file an IR report If you hsve witness let them come forward to clear up this matter.

The endless charges that were thrown on this blog against Stone including he sent himself hate mail.( Ff Stone did that then, Brewer must steal his own signs)

My favorite was that he is going to give up his seat to his daughter. I hear that one going back 10 years. Oh it must be true since the rumor is still around. Must be true since I keep hearing it from all of the opposition workers. While you sit here and blog I been out getting new absentee ballots application to those who wont be here on 4/17 and registering voters. Oh I must be a thug for doing that?

I been called alot of names in my day, but a thug thats a new one.

Everyone including Stone supports has the right to political views. Everyone.

Oh and the only signs I have taken my many years are cleaning up the opposition signs who run out of the ward the night the elections is over and leave the signs up everywhere.

The matter is very clear! You're asking that the police do their job, yet when you call to report a theft, they say there is nothing they can do. But there is no doubt in reasonable peoples' minds that Stone's thugs are responsible for the rash of stolen campaign signs of any candidate deemed a threat to Ald. Stone. I'm certain that's why the police won't do anything.

As for Stone's stunt, it is far more plausible that Stone sent himself literature with a swastika on it than suggesting that anyone else would do that. Who, besides Stone, would think of something like that? Who else, besides Stone, could possibly benefit? He's the only one who has a reason to do that. It was a disgusting ploy. It only shows the depths that Stone will sink to in order to keep us under his thumb.

Stone, on his birthday, declared that he wants Ilana to replace him. We all know how this works. Stone waits a couple of years and retires. Viola! Daley appoints Ilana, on Stone's recommendation. Machine politics at work. Only a very naive person would not consider that a good possibility with Stone's re-election. Some people think it's a certainty.

Not everyone who supports Stone is a thug. But Stone's supporters who engage in illegal and unethical activities are thugs. Period. I hope that clears it up for you.

I THINK YOU PEOPLE HAVE TO MUCH TIME ON YOUR HANDS. ITS AMAZING TO ME THAT WHAT I READ ACTUALLY COMES FROM ADULTS. STOP ACTING LIKE CHILDREN AND VOTE OR WORK FOR WHOM YOU BELIEVE IS THE BEST PERSON FOR THE JOB. LEAVE THE ALDERMAN AND HIS FAMILY ALONE.NOBODY GETS ELECTED INTO OFFICE FOR 33YEARS WITHOUT DOING A GOOD JOB.

Stereo systems don't vote either. Would you mind if I came over and stole yours?

Jay:

Still think Naisy and her campaign are (potentially) just as bad as Stone? Whatever shenanigans happened in the closing days of the February campaign does not explain Naisy besting "my" candidate (Brewer) by 1000 votes. What I saw is that we were simply outhustled by the size and strength of her grassroots campaign. Her people were EVERYWHERE. I respect that and am now glad to be joining her effort.

Jay,

This matter is not clear, It is no more plausable for the Alderman to send himself hate mail then Brewer or any one else from steal their own signs.

12 years now hearing that Stome want to have his daughter appointed. Yes he did say he want her to succeed him but he also says she had to run on her own and he will not resign. If you are going to post on the subject, then post the whole story. One trait about Alderman, you may not like what he has to say but he stick with what hesays.

Sorry as well about missing signs but I would rather have Chicago finest solving major crimes unless you have an eye witness?? ( Put up or shut up)

Now I have to go out and pass out more absentee ballot applications( and votes for Stone)

one solution to sign stealing tactics

place the signs in your window, passerbys can still see it if you put it in a front window.

I don't believe Stone has ever been honest with us. He tells us what he wants us to hear, then does whatever he wants to do. Stone is your typical Chicago politician. He doesn't do a thing for us, and acts like he doesn't have to!

I've been looking at many resources lately, trying to find Stones contribution to keeping Thillens stadium open, up and running. In May of 2005 the Chicago Park District and the Chicago Cubs took on the stadium (which sits on Lincolnwood land). I'm still looking. I really can't find anything to give him credit for any of it, although he HAS taken credit for it. Does anybody have any factual info on this? I don't mean "just 'cause Stone says so". I'm looking for any documented evidence to support his claim.

I really hope that Stone "put his money where his mouth is" on this Thillens claim.

I don’t know where this Last post came from. The idiot didn’t even make sense. Stone does whatever he wants?? Stone does what the people ask for. Tells you what you want to hear?? He won’t tell you what he can’t promise. Go figure.

Hey "anonymous" why don't YOU read the articles that you just directed me to. NOWHERE does Stone have any input in the Thillens re-opening, therefore, he should not be acting like he deserves credit for it.

The above mentioned quote was in reference to the bike bridge and as we all know, the residents wanted it done and Stone tabled the money for the project, in favor of the senior residence building. So really if the residents want it done but Stone doesn't, it doesn't get done.

You don’t deserve an explanation. Read between the lines in the article. Do you think Lincolnwood asked to keep Thillens open? Go to the source. Ask Fred Thillens himself. He can give you the answer. As for the path do you thing the bike path funds were used for the building. Damm you need your head examined. You are no politician. All you do on these blogs is look for the negative, your goal is to bash Stone as usual. Let’s look at Dolar. She claims to be on the local School Council. Yes she is but just jumped on the band wagon before running for election. She has not even been on board for a year. What does that go to show you?? I will tell you. All show and NO go!!

Who is Fred? I think you must mean Ferdy Thillens.

Bernard Stone got the Cubs to date $500,000 and S& C Electric to chip into $250,000. It was Bernard Stone who work with Water Reclamation District President Terry O' Brien to lease the land the Park Distict.

The land is in Lincolnwood, owed by the Water Reclamation District and now run by the Park District.

I hear this from Stone, Obrien, The Tribune Company, Lincolnwood, Tim Mitchell.

I played ball there when I was younger and now my son will have the same chance. My family went to see the king and his court. Donkey Baseball etc as well. I just wont be able to take my son to see them there.

So yes the money is where the mouth is.

Oh wait but because it rained on a few summer days and games were cancelled that must be Stone fault.

You want to pick an issue fine, but leave thillins alone as you aint got a chance on that one.

So it one, two , three strikes your are out at the old ball game....

Is this the same S&C Electric that got their very own TIF district courtesy of Berny Stone, meaning that in effect they pay no real estate taxes? I guess we could say that Thillens was saved with TIF dollars.
